Non-binarity: understanding, supporting, and accompanying
During our meetings, parents often ask about being non-binary… what does it really mean?
In collaboration with AlterHéros and GRIS-Montréal, GCK invites you to an evening of information, reflection, personal stories, and discussion about non-binary identities. Two volunteers from GRIS-Montréal will share their personal experiences and answer participants’ questions in an open and welcoming space. Together with AlterHéros, we will explore the French language and its evolution, as well as the use of gender-inclusive, gender-neutral, and epicene language, including its possibilities, advantages, and limitations. Through a combination of theory and concrete examples, we will explore how to make our everyday use of French more inclusive. And, most importantly, how can we, in general, be good allies to our children.
