Conference: Sexuality and Intimacy

Target Audience : Parents of young TNBGC, TNB individuals - People who work with parents or TNB individuals
Format : Hybrid

Simultaneous interpretation service (to be confirmed)
Schedule: 6 PM to 9 PM

THE EVENING WILL INCLUDE TWO PRESENTATIONS:

1. Virtual Presentation: 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM

2. In-person Presentation

• Doors open at 6:30 PM.

• Presentation and exchanges from 7 PM to 8:30 PM

• An informal time is planned after the evening to allow attendees on-site to continue discussions until 9 PM

Proposed Content:

• Presentation of the research and its main results;
• Presentation of the decision tree developed as part of the project;
• Tools to help parents support their young person in their reflection;
• Extracts from interviews;
• Opportunity to present certain visual creations made by participants, including memes and collages.

Objectives:

• Raise awareness and inform parents;
• Provide tools to support young people in their reflection;
• Encourage discussions between young people and their parents;
• Promote the tools developed as part of the research.

Points of Caution:

• Important when announcing the event: The conference will not be presented from a medical perspective. Kevin being a social worker and not a doctor, the approach will primarily be social, focusing on support, reflection, and decision-making.
• Avoid information being used for gatekeeping or against access to gender affirmation care.
